We combine professional publishing standards with long-term marketing collaboration and active outreach to schools, libraries, and retailers. Our relationship with authors extends beyond production — we focus on positioning books for meaningful visibility and impact.

Publishing terminology can be inconsistent across the industry. Rather than using labels that may carry varied interpretations, we focus on what matters most: professional standards, transparent agreements, and long-term author support.

Our priority is partnership — not categorization.

Publishing fees and cost structures are shared only after a manuscript has been accepted. All accepted authors are subject to the same standardized publishing fee, with editing and illustration quoted separately based on project scope.

Need more flexibility? We now accept Affirm, so eligible clients can pay over time with smaller monthly payments.

Affirm is a payment option that allows eligible clients to split their total into smaller monthly payments rather than paying the full amount upfront.

How does it work?

If you choose Affirm during the invoice payment process, you’ll be shown available payment plan options. If approved, you’ll make your payments directly to Affirm over time.

Do I have to use Affirm?

No. Affirm is completely optional. Clients can still choose to pay their invoice in full.

Simply click on “Apply Now” to complete the submission form and provide us with details about your book project. We’ll then guide you through the next steps. You will receive a response within 7 to 9 business days. Only a select few will be chosen.

Our focus is impact-driven children’s publishing.

No, we do not provide in-house editing and illustration services. We have a vetted list of professional illustrators that we have approved for our authors to choose from, or your preferred illustrator may apply for approval. We will assist you with finding a professional children's book editor for your story to ensure we have a marketable and industry standard book. The author is responsible for all editing and illustration fees.

We are selective and mission-driven. We partner with authors whose stories align with our core values of kindness, inclusion, representation, and social-emotional learning.

Selectivity ensures quality control and focused marketing efforts for every title we publish.

Yes, we welcome everyone but primarily work eith new aspiring authors. We will help provide book editing services, illustrations, and much more. If you are not ready to publish, you can request an in-depth consultation here.

No, we are an independent children’s publishing company.

Unlike traditional publishing houses, we work collaboratively with authors and maintain transparent agreements. Unlike transactional service providers, we offer structured publishing support combined with ongoing marketing and outreach efforts.

We support authors with launch planning, social visibility strategies, and outreach initiatives. In addition, we actively engage schools, and community organizations to create opportunities for visibility and bulk engagement.

Purple Diamond Press only publishes children's picture books and YA books but you may apply to our new imprint, Sapphire Noble Books if you have an adult-genre story.
